Friends, anytime you are booking a first birthday or milestone full session, make sure you are ready to do some family photos as well! Not only is it important to capture your babies as they hit these milestones but also for your babies to have you in their photos. I promise they will want to see you in these photos as they get older. Kelly & Mike have worked with me enough times to know that when they bring their babies in for their milestone session, they are also going to get family portraits ;)

We did a split session for these since it was still spring and the weather wasn't super warm yet. The first half was in studio and the rest we headed outside to Barrie’s waterfront to capture. I just love the whipping willows in this location too. And ummmm can we talk about the cake smash?! I love doing these outside! And how cute is the sprinkle cake! You don’t need a fancy fondant cake for these. My preference is a smaller buttercream cake that’s cute but simple so it doesn’t take away from your little ones. After all, they are the star of the show and that’s what I want to capture most, your babe.
